SOMAARTH Geographical Information System (GIS): Geo-spatial Data on Demography, Environment and Health

Objective

SOMAARTH GIS is envisaged as a platform for studying environmental exposures integrated in to large cohorts. Some of its specific objectives are:
1. To conduct real time mapping of environmental risk conditions and establish contextual pathways associated with various communicable and non communicable diseases
2. To document impacts of changing environment on health and economy of people
3. To innovate evidence based environmental and behavioural interventions for prevention and control of diseases

Expected Outcomes
